Joshua Ketchmark releases powerful and emotive new single, Tazewell County Line

Setting the tone with a drum riff and an elegant guitar soundscape, Joshua Ketchmark opens Tazewell County Line with an immersive energy and the lyrics, “I thought I knew you, was I ever wrong? I took for granted, what you kept from me for so long…”

The opus expands into an alternative country meets soft rock vibe, full of poetic prowess and intricate instrumentation. We appreciate the depth that Joshua Ketchmark shares with the composition and the vulnerability in his words as he reminisces about growing up in Illinois.

Tazewell County Line comes with a cinematic, blue-toned music video featuring an epic performance from our protagonist, as he showcases his depth and emotion.

The powerful new single is taken from Joshua Ketchmark‘s 10th studio album BLOOD, a follow up to his 2021 album The Huntington Hotel. We learn that the album was produced and mixed by Ketchmark and documents Ketchmarks past. Ketchmark has stated that the album is based on true events and that the title is inspired not only by the lyrical subject matter but also by those involved with the making of the record.

BLOOD includes appearances by drummer Zak St. John (Black Star Riders), and bassist Ger Hoffman (Joe Diffie), with the majority of the piano and organ being played by Michael Webb (Chris Stapleton), Tony Paoletta (Travis Tritt) contributed lap steel, Sadler Vaden (Jason Isbell and the 400 unit) played guitar on 8 of the 12 songs, and Nick Nguyen (Bonepony) added banjo and viola.

The harmonies and backup vocals on BLOOD include guest appearances by Candace Devine (Ponderosa Grove), Heather Luttrel, CC Wyle (Wyle), Kenny Wright (The Great Affairs), Dvniel and Joey O. BLOOD was mastered by Michael Bozzi at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood, CA.

We have added Tazewell County Line to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we stream BLOOD in full!
