Justine Sletten shares intimate and moving new single, Dandelion

Drawing us in with a luscious riser and a glistening soundscape, Justine Sletten takes us on an adventure with the opening lyrics of Dandelion as she sings, “Let’s take a drive baby, just you and I baby, one hand out the window and the other one holding mine baby…”

The opus expands into a dreamy trip as the rising artist from Saskatchewan shares her soul with a country pop meets soft rock hybrid energy. We learn that Justine Sletten worked closely with award-winning producer Bart McKay to bring Dandelion to life, and that the song was written by Ashley Gorley, Luke Laird, and Hillary Lindsey.

Elaborating on the track, Justine Sletten confesses, “Dandelion is a fun and energetic story of new love. The up beat lyrics make us feel that very same weightlessness that comes with falling in love. It explores the excitement of new love during a season when most people feel more wild and free.”

We love the range in Justine’s delivery, which keeps us hypnotized throughout, and we are in awe of the lyric video designed to help visualise being “whisked away in the wind”.

Justine’s debut EP, Groundbreaking, was released in July of
2017, and to no surprise the talented artist spent three days in the Top 10 Country Albums in Canada on iTunes! The star cites a fusion of artists including Kelsea Ballerini, Taylor Swift, and Shania Twain as influences, although there is no doubt that what she is creating is unique to her own style.

We have added Dandelion to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst w continue to stream Justine Sletten‘s wider discography including All Bad and That’s How Goodbye Goes.
