Following an epic 2022, nasmore is hitting the ground running in 2023 with the release of Welcome to the Hell, so naturally, we couldn’t wait to experience it!
Drawing us in with ASMR-esque whispers and a bold an immersive synthscape, fused with subversive and poetic commentary delivered in a manner akin to the Joker (as highlighted in the single artwork!), nasmore opens Welcome to the Hell with intrigue and depth.
The composition expands with an eerie and subversive energy to showcase an assertive message as nasmore takes us on a trip through his psyche, showcasing an alter ego vibe that he has teased in the past!
Speaking on the release, the Canadian visionary says, “Some songs make you cry and some songs you just skip forward, and then there are songs that consume you totally and drag your mind to travel dark places. Hell, for example.”
The opus features nasmore‘s long term collaborator Neil Taylor delivering an out of this world guitar solo, as well as La Strange who delivers an incredible vocal performance showcasing her epic range and vocal dimensionality.
We are in awe of the mix which is crisp, dynamic and immersive, allowing the potent message of the song to really come to life! The melodies are super unique and we can certainly imagine Welcome to the Hell being featured in a blockbuster movie or Netflix series.
