Mira Sthira takes us on an adventure, designed to help us make it through the Winter, with powerful single, Snow Cave

Last year, we featured Mira Sthira for her ethereal, evocative and inspiring single, Weird Girl, so when we heard that she had also released Snow Cave, we couldn’t wait to experience it!

Drawing us in with textured vocals and a pulsating dance beat, Mira Sthira opens Snow Cave with the situational lyrics, “Deep in the snow cave, long North Winter…”

The talented artist describes the opus as “mind and heart survival indietronica [designed] to get you through the cold dark winter.” We love the metaphorical depth and poetic nuance that Mira Sthira shares with the composition, and how the song expands into an intentional journey filled with intricacies and an expansive energy.

With reference to the story of the lyrics, the rising star from Bath recounts, “Deep in the coldness of winter, a lone woman unprepared must hunt on her own to survive these darker days. She lives in a snow cave waiting for a man who has left. She lifts stones toward her snow cave to build a fire-pit. She clumsily proceeds to lift her bow and arrow with snow caked mittens and a fuzzy aim. She must live now like the animal inside her. It will take time to learn, but she is determined to survive.”

We appreciate the message and the powerful soundscape that accompanies Mira Sthira‘s exquisite vocals. Snow Cave has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we anticipate further releases from Mira Sthira and continue to stream her existing discography!
