Jade Ashtangini takes us on a transcendental trip with meditative new composition, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove

Setting the tone with intricate keys, Jade Ashtangini opens Arashiyama Bamboo Grove with an emotive and intimate energy. The opus expands into a luscious and immersive sonic experience as Jade Ashtangini shares her compositional depth and channels her raw emotion.

Speaking on the depth of the piano release, Jade confesses, “The creative idea for me to write this song is that bamboo has been used throughout Japanese history as an important material for art and music.”

The rising artist from Texas and Taiwan continues, “So, it should be no surprise to find bamboo forests in Japan, several of which are located near the city of Kyoto, one of the most classic is Arashiyama Bamboo Grove.”

“I wrote this song to express the meditative and peaceful vibes in this space to bring you the best inner peace. Unwind and lie down at ease, allowing yourself to be in this tranquility”, concludes Jade Ashtangini with passion.

We appreciate the emotive nuance that she shares with her composition, and the journey that Arashiyama Bamboo Grove takes us on, both visually and spiritually.

Jade’s mastery of the instrument is tangible, and in line with her name it is no surprise that the artist has a connection with yoga and also sings mantras and kirtans. We learn that the intention of her art is “to help people connect more deeply spiritually”, which we feel come though with Arashiyama Bamboo Grove.

We have added the composition to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Jade Ashtangini‘s wider discography including Cherry Blossom in Kyoto and Yearning!
