Monroe Moon release evocative trip-hop ode to connection with new single, Just a Little Bit Longer

It has been an incredibly creative year for Monroe Moon, with the releases of ¡GET UP!, Glad To Exist, New Utopia, and WAR, so when we heard that the duo had also released Just a Little Bit Longer, we couldn’t wait to experience it!

Establishing the mood with a pulsating beat, textured percussion and luscious guitar strums, Monroe Moon open Just a Little Bit Longer with atmospheric vocals and the lyrics, “You don’t even know that I know that I know that I’m right…”

We can always count on Bunny and Theo to create an immersive soundscape with thought-provoking lyricism, as they take us on a profound journey through their spirits and minds, and Just a Little Bit Longer is no exception.

Laced with lyrical prowess, the opus is described by the pair as “sexy melancholic drowning”, and they confess that the meaning of the song is “self explanatory”. They elaborate that the intention of creating the piece is “to not only allow the dark and oily substances to erupt from one’s well of emotions, but to try and paint with it.”

The emotion that Monroe Moon deliver is tangible, and we feel that fans of Portishead and Massive Attack would definitely be able to connect with Just a Little Bit Longer‘s dreamy and evocative trip-hop sound.

We have added the composition to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Monroe Moon‘s wider discography including ¡GET UP!, Glad To Exist, New Utopia, and WAR!
