Illuminade takes us on a subversive and psychedelic trip with new composition, Spoonflower

Setting the tone with an immersive synthscape featuring a descending bell arpeggio and dimensional bassline, Illuminade opens Spoonflower with intrigue and a cosmic, meditative energy.

The opus expands into an avant-garde, conscious composition with textured percussion and melodic nuance as we are taken on a transcendental yet subversive journey.

We appreciate the psychedelic detailing and the overall moody elements that Illuminade brings to life with his composition, and we learn that the artist is particularly a fan of his “fierce sub bass line”, with which we have to concur!

Illuminde is the brainchild of multi-disciplinary artist Elijah
Reed
, who is based in Houston, Texas. The visionary artist specialises in electronic and psychedelic rock music and unsurprisingly, his work has already has already received radio play from College Underground Radio, and Frost FM.

Elijah cites artist including Flying Lotus, The Mars Volta, The Weeknd and Portishead as influences for the music of Illuminde, although it is clear that he is creating a sonic universe of his own.

We love the energy that Illuminde is sharing, and the conscious artistry that he is presenting. We have added Spoonflower to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Illuminde‘s wider discography including Irish Lullibye and Palindro.
