Kelsie Kimberlin transports us to Cartagena with evocative and inspiring new single, Fruit Basket

We recently featured Kelsie Kimberlin as she took us on a trip around the world with her empowering and expansive single, Cosmopolitan Girl, so when we heard that she had just released Fruit Basket, we couldn’t wait to experience it!

Drawing us in with intimate acoustic guitar, Kelsie Kimberlin opens Fruit Basket with intricate riffs and atmospheric vocals as she sings, “Pass the love around and make sure everybody gets some…”

Expanding into a Latin pop energy, Fruit Basket is laced with optimism, love energy and conscious lyricism as the Ukrainian-American artist delivers wisdom with her prose, inspiring us to take chances and manifest our own reality. We learn that Kelsie Kimberlin has been on a one-woman mission to spread light and love around the globe as her method of choice to combat the darkness of the war.

Spanish vocals on the song are performed by Pedro Vengoechea, whilst Kelsie and her dancers deliver enlightening choreography and a warm energy with holistic values in the music video for Fruit Basket, set in Cartagena and directed by Cristian Florez.

The soundscape is divine, with an ethereal edge allowing us to feel a more transcendental vibe from the artist, and truly transporting us to Colombia. Kelsie simply wants us to take a trip with her into the centre of where “heartfelt messages and meaning music merge together beautifully, as one.”

We have added Fruit Basket to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Kelsie Kimberlin‘s wider discography including Right Place Wrong Time and Cosmopolitan Girl.
