It has been an incredibly creative year for Rye Catchers as he teamed up with Nekane on dimensional and emotive, Ordinary, and released the immersive, UFO, so when we heard that the visionary David McClintick Roberts had brought on Nekane for new single, Sometimes, we couldn’t wait to experience it!
Drawing us in with a pulsating guitar soundscape with vocal textures and intricate percussion, Rye Catchers and Nekane open Sometimes with the situational, yet conceptual lyrics, “Sometimes I dance around naked cos it feels so alone inside this lock and key mind…”
The opus expands into a dynamic and thought-provoking energy with luscious instrumentation and lyricism laced with poetic prowess. Rye Catchers tells us, “The tune blends digital and analog instruments to create a compelling and uplifting sound with a touch of tension”, with which we are deeply inclined to agree!
As always we love the dimensionality that Rye Catchers presents with his work, and Sometimes is truly an electro-pop trip. David McClintick Roberts is a self-described non-conformist, and that really comes through in his genre expansive artistry.
We have added the magnetic new single to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Rye Catchers‘ wider discography including History, Little Things and Anything.
