Energy Whores release cerebral and thought-provoking new single, Psycho Chemistry

Setting the tone with a rippling, psychedelic synth, guitar riffs and pulsating drums, Energy Whores open Psycho Chemistry with intrigue and dimensionality.

The opus expands with luscious strings and futuristic, atmospheric vocals as the NY duo take us on a metaphorical and high concept trip. We appreciate the poetic prowess that Energy Whores share, along with the vibrant strings and cerebral textures.

We love the meditative moments which give the composition a transcendental edge, and the overall dynamic nature of the track which has energetic ebbs and flows to keep our attention.

We learn that Energy Whores started out in the closet of a New York City apartment, and are now based in a basement in Ghent, New York. Carrie Schoenfeld is the singer and songwriter who plays keyboards and an array of instruments, and Attilio Valenti, who is originally from Sicily, plays all the guitars!

The genre expansive nature of the duo is what makes them highly unique, along with their deep rooted philosophical messages and lyricism. Their intention is to bring back “social consciousness and politics into music”.

Energy Whores share a tangible authenticity and we have added Psycho Chemistry to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream their wider discography including Take a Miracle and Dark Money.
