Kaleigh releases empowering new self-realization anthem, Situationship

Setting the tone with a vibrant and intricate alternative rock soundscape, Kaleigh opens Situationship with atmospheric vocals and aptly situational lyricism as she shares her experience and philosophies of life.

The opus expands into a dimensional and empowering soundscape as Kaleigh delivers wisdom and poetic prowess with reference to being frustrated when you are “stuck in the in-between with someone you’ve come to care about.”

We appreciate the rawness and authenticity that Kaleigh shares with her sound and message, and Situationship also comes with a cinematic music video which sees our protagonist deliver a hypnotizing performance taking us through the five stages of grief.

Dressed in lingerie on a boudoir lounger for denial, engaging with a mannequin for anger, performing whilst on a vintage telephone holding a baseball bat for bargaining, posed at a piano for depression, and finally a strong eye contact scene depicting acceptance, Kaleigh‘s performances are incredible and we are in awe of her charm and charisma as an artist.

Speaking in depth on the release, Kaleigh asks introspectively, “Have you ever been in less than a relationship, but more than a friendship with someone? Well, me too.”

The rising artist from Los Angeles continues, “Situationship is about being frustrated as you are stuck in the in-between with someone you’ve come to care about. Too often these days, people are quick to trade a good thing for a good time. Others are so damaged by their traumatic pasts that they keep themselves from truly moving forward or falling in love once again. Situationship is a therapeutic, anger-release of all that pent up emotion that we hold back to keep from scaring someone off. Let’s let it go together.”

The message that Kaleigh is sharing with her self-realization anthem is incredible important and she comments how the negative effects of casual dating and the widely accepted “situationship” are felt equally by all.

The song is designed to “highlight one’s ability to reclaim their power and decide that this type of lifestyle simply isn’t the right fit.” Kaleigh does this with grace, intellect and a seductive visual identity that one cannot help but pay attention to. The final result is cathartic empowerment, and we are here to stan.

We love what Kaleigh stands for and have added the powerful new mind-opening composition to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Kaleigh‘s wider discography including Country Class and Lost Souls.
