We recently featured Onism E for their powerful and profound single, Lin Manuel, so when we heard that they had just released It’s Not Over, we couldn’t wait to experience it!
Establishing the mood with an immersive and cosmic electric guitar energy, before expanding with textured percussion and drums into a luscious rock soundscape, Onism E open It’s Not Over with the introspective lyrics, “I have no idea what I’m doing here, life has kicked me down, more times than I thought it would…”
We are always in awe of the stunning vocals by Eline C as she shares her soul and optimism with depth and charisma. We particularly love the echos as she sings, “no-one is being left behind” and assures us with the line, “I got you…”
Described by the band as “a glimpse of what is to come”, Onism E confess that It’s Not Over is “about the struggle to stay present and strong during these difficult times. These days that just seem to keep delivering punches.”
We deeply appreciate the intention that the band shares with the thought-provoking opus, and their ability to turn trauma into power. The describe the piece as “a little more soul, a little more blues but still all the rock-n-roll you expect from this band.”
