Lettie and David Baron deliver emotive and profound new single, Fairy Tale

We recently featured Lettie and David Baron for their transcendental reverie, Escape, so when we heard that they had just released the brand new, Fairy Tale, we couldn’t wait to experience it!

Immersing us with atmospheric keys, Lettie sings with unique charisma, the situational lyrics, “He built himself a house, his foundations, his stones, his walls, his roof overhead…”

The opus expands with ethereal add libs, as Lettie takes us on an emotive journey with a cosmic edge as she brings to life the thought provoking tale of her muse. We appreciate the evolution, mid way though the composition, as an industrial synth dimensionalises the piece with epic strings, lending themselves to an anthemic crescendo and heightened emotion before the song concludes with an airy vocal and intricate piano.

As always, the poetic prowess and high quality listening experience that the duo deliver are out of this world. We appreciate the more relatable approach for this release, in juxtaposition to the naturally more escapist predecessor single.

Renowned producer David Baron features on twenty-six platinum records, whilst Lettie has worked with John Cooper Clarke, Anthony Phillips (Genesis founder) and Peter Murphy (Bauhaus) to name a few. We learn that David Baron also works a lot with The Lumineers and Lenny Kravitz, and has vast collection of modular synths which have featured on records by Bat For Lashes and Melanie De Biasio! He even arranged strings for Shawn Mendes and played most of the instruments on Meghan Trainor’s All About That Bass!

We always appreciate the joint artistry that Lettie and David Baron share with their universe and have added Fairy Tale to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Escape!
