Reue teams up with Synthemesc on powerful and expansive techno trip, Always Late

Setting the tone with a pulsating beat with textured detailing, Reue and Synthemesc open their collaborative single, Always Late with dynamism, intrigue, and a sense of techno timelessness. The opus expands with intricacy and intention, building with melodic riffs, panning risers and synth notes that build energetically, delivering a transcendental vibe.

We appreciate the mix, which is clean and magnetic. The duo describe Always Late as “explosive melodic techno”, and we couldn’t agree more. We love the roaring bassline and hypnotizing leads. Mid-way through the composition we expense a robust synth eruption, before the piece takes us back to a more minimalist state, before teasing us again with another epic build. This happens once more, organically, as our energy has become accustomed to the immersive trip that Reue and Synthemesc intended for us.

Ethan Reue Berdofe is from Austin, Texas and has been pushing the boundaries of underground electronic music from a very young age. He has now grown to be one of the most progressive and influential minds on the scene in his hometown, and is known by his peers as a prodigy in the making.

Synthemesc is the electronic project of musician and composer Daniel Fernandez. Currently based out of Medellín, Colombia, Fernandez employs a broad spectrum of musical influences drawing heavily from his background with instrumental bands and orchestral music.

We deeply appreciate the pair coming together to create this powerful piece, and we have added Always Late to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we explore the discographies of both artists!
