THELIXX deliver intricate and emotive new single, Hayley

Setting the tone with an enigmatic and enticing electric guitar melody, THELIXX open Hayley with intrigue, dimensionality and a high octane energy as the opus expands with introspective and situational lyricism.

We learn that Hayley tells the “eternally tragic tale of the eponymous character’s lies and deceit within her relationship.” The track is written from the other partner’s perspective, and follows the protagonist’s defeat and disillusionment in catching his love “red handed”.

The poetic prowess and charisma that THELIXX exude is tangible, and we appreciate the depth and vulnerability they share with this tale. The overall production is incredible, dynamic and has us in awe with an out of this world guitar solo and the evocative melodies and hooks that lend themselves to an almost transcendental vibe.

Hayley is set to come with a music video, inspired by a “plethora of 1980s Horror movies”. In the visual, we learn that not only was Hayley cheating on the character of frontman Curtis Hicks, but that she was cheating with the other members of the band – guitarist Lewis Hawkins and drummer Shae Owen-Phillips, without anyone’s knowledge!

We love the vibe that THELIXX create with their artistry, and have added Hayley to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we explore their wider discography, including Maniac and Magic, and anticipate the release of the video!
