We recently featured Gallowayyys for his immersive and dimensional single, OLLIE OFF A MXLLY, so when we heard that he had just released the brand new, PARTY WITH YOU, we couldn’t wait to experience it!
Drawing us in with a synthetic and industrial bassline with police sirens wailing, Gallowayyys opens PARTY WITH YOU with his signature dimensionality and a sense of high octane urgency as a vocal tannoy announces the provocative words, “Fuck you, and everyone you know…”
The opus expands with subversion into an alternative, experimental rock meet pop-punk energy, as Gallowayyys delivers atmospheric vocals and a thought-provoking narrative.
Speaking on the release of PARTY WITH YOU, Gallowayyys confesses that the piece is about “an imbalance of romance, drama, and self destruction, [it] is a distorted allegory that speaks to the weightlessness of choosing to write your own rules.”
We always appreciate the depth and poetic nuance with which Gallowayyys creates, and PARTY WITH YOU is now exception. The song comes with a high octane visual, which was filmed across Manhattan, Dallas, and a few undisclosed locations, featuring mosh pits, steampunk art, and scenes straight out of a fight club. Needless to say, we are obsessed.
Elaborating on the context of his passion to create, Gallowayyys tells us, “After getting arrested and surviving two car accidents a couple years ago, I took it as a sign that I needed to change my life and that I’m here for a purpose.” He adds, “Today I’m building a platform, so I can share uncomfortable truths with whoever needs to hear it. One day I hope to help other disadvantaged youths use the fury in their hearts to forge a positive path forward.”
Gallowayyys, also known as multi-disciplinary artist Blake Alexander, elaborates with reference to the culture and his purpose, “I think the youth of the world are primed for a new renaissance. If the depths of madness pave the road, a furious heart will light the way. My goal is to build a community where young people can feel comfortable opening up about the unique experiences that define us. If we can scream with one voice at the same time, the universe will listen.”
