Setting the tone with immersive keys and atmospheric vocals, KRISTOPHER opens his cover of the iconic Ariana Grande song, Into You with a stripped back and emotive energy, and the iconic lyrics, “I’m so into you, I can barely breathe…”
As the opus expands, we experience KRISTOPHER‘s dulcet tones, as he delivers the global smash hit with charisma and vocal dynamism. As the song builds, so does the emerging artist’s instrumental delivery and passion.
The re-imagined version of the song is designed as tribute to the single first released from Ariana’s third studio album, Dangerous Woman. The piece is originally co-written by the megastar along with Savan Kotecha, Alexander Kronlund, and producers Max Martin and Ilya.
KRISTOPHER‘s cover takes the original dance-pop song into a mellow realm with a legato energy and softer acoustic atmosphere. His lead vocals and textured harmonies are underpinned with light strings and his own viola performance.
Speaking on the release, KRISTOPHER, who is also known as artist Kristopher Houck confesses, “I wanted to honor Ariana’s influence on me with this cover. Ariana Grande and her discography have been a primary inspiration to me and this tribute cover won’t be the last.”
With a degree in psychology and over a decade of musical theater and orchestral experience as a performer and multi-instrumentalist, we learn that Kristopher devotes his songwriting to helping and inspiring others through the cathartic power of music that has been critical to his own journey.
