We learn that Chris Mason is self taught from the age of nine, and that music comes naturally to him. His sound has been influenced by a mix of The Beatles, Bowie and Supergrass, which we can hear come through in Justify, although it is clear that he is defining a universe of his own.
Justify is laced with poetic prowess and wisdom, and we are grateful for the message that Chris is sharing with his artistry. The soaring guitars deliver an anthemic energy and we love the minimalist breakdown for the inspiring middle eight as Chris sings emotively, “We’ve got to find a new way, where we all work together, and we fight for each other…”
