Wild Celia release empowering and anthemic single, Waiting for the Love

Setting the tone with an enigmatic riser and a bold guitar bass-line, Wild Celia open Waiting for the Love with intrigue, dimensionality and the liberating lyrics, “Set yourself free, free from the shackles, of somebody who didn’t want your hold, can you feel it in your bones, claim your throne, wear your crown…”

The opus expands into an indie-pop meets soft-rock energy as Wild Celia, a duo consisting of Eimile and Tommy deliver a meaningful and empowering song about connecting with oneself to manifest love energy.

The duo cite Kate Bush and Fleetwood Mac as influences for the sound of Waiting for the Love, which we can feel come though in the composition, although it is clear that they are creating a universe of their own.

We learn that Eimile and Tommy met at school and discovered that their musical chemistry was something that’s rare to find.  Combined with their own personal experiences of angst, which sparked the song writing muse in both of them, the pair decided to form Wild Celia in 2020 during the midst of the pandemic.

We appreciate the dynamic nature of the instrumentation and the flow of the track, which holds a sense of nostalgia fused with a contemporary and high quality mix. The middle eight is a transcendental experience with textured background vocals as Eimile delivers atmospheric vocals before the final reprise.

Waiting for the Love has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the duo’s wider discography including Olympus is Calling and Red Light.
