The Infinity Process release powerful and thought-provoking single, Dystopia

We recently featured The Infinity Process for their high concept and introspective opus, Losing Reality, so we were excited to hear that they had just released the brand new track, Dystopia.

Immersing us with bold and metallic electric guitars and intricate percussive detailing, Dystopia opens with intrigue and drama, as drum riffs lead us to the ever conceptual lyrics, “Sunlight burns in your eyes, phantoms dancing in the glow, images come to life, hearing ghosts in echoes…”

Dystopia evolves into a vibrant hard rock meets heavy metal energy, as vocalist Kimberly Tingley takes us on a subversive trip about escaping the chaos of everyday life.

We are mesmerized by the dimensionality of the drums, performed by  Brent Gfell and the melodic energy of the guitars performed by Jason Tingley. The lyricism is full of poetic prowess, as once again, the band opens our minds with their high concept narratives and powerful visual story telling.

Dystopia comes with an epic lyric video, which helps bring to life the composition with cinematic visuals that amplify our listening experience. Speaking on their creation and the intention behind it, Kimberly Tingley confesses, “Sometimes it’s hard to just function and find any happiness when you are constantly stressing and thinking about any difficult things you’re dealing with emotionally or physically.”

She adds with depth and wisdom, “The world is a mess, and it’s easy to get caught up in all of the anger, fear, and sadness. Once in a while, you need to let go and clear your mind of all negative thoughts. Stare into the sky and drift away for a bit. Reset your body. Just be free.”

Dystopia has an inspiring energy, and is thought provoking, filled with intelligent and powerful constructs. The piece was recorded at the Chinchilla Lair Engineered, produced, and mixed by Jason Tingley with mastering by Nick Burchall at Audio Animals.

We have added Dystopia to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of The Infinity Process, including Losing Reality and Sinister. The band will also be headlining a show at Prime Nightlife in Toledo, Ohio on November 11th for drummer Brent Gfell‘s birthday!
