Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L showcases his vulnerability on emotive break up song, Ring The Bell

We recently featured rising megastar Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L when he teamed up with Kodie Shane on the evocative and mysterious, T.D.I.M, and as he cemented his identity as a New York legend on B.E.C, so we were stoked to have the chance to review the brand new, Ring The Bell!

Immersing us with cosmic textures, Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L sings affirmatively, “I don’t cry no more…” , as the opus expands into a trap meets drill fused with hip-hop hybrid energy, refined and intricate as with all of Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L‘s work.

The artist’s vulnerability comes through in Ring The Bell as he delivers verses touching on the human condition, and the inner workings of his mind, whilst he delivers lyrics such as, “Baby I’m punching the walls in the room, baby you lying….”, which showcase the frustration he holds with the muse from the song.

Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L‘s authenticity is tangible, and the output of his lyricism combined with the magnetic soundscape makes for an incredible composition. Speaking on the release, he confesses succinctly, “This is a drill song about heartbreak. I wanted to kill myself. I was broke. I was broken. I needed a release and it was this song.”

As with all of Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L‘s singles, Ring The Bell comes with a stunning artwork, showcasing the performance prowess of the artist. The lyricism in Ring The Bell is particularly heart wrenching for example, he delivers the lines, “Girlie I’m thinking bout crashing my coupe, girlie I’m going to hard with the crew, girlie I think I might jump off the roof…” with poetic nuance and sadness.

Brooklyn native Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L is an artist on the come up thanks to his unique tongue-in-cheek brand of shimmering hip-hop. With a vocal cadence and flow similar to that of Big Sean and 6LACK, and lyrics that aren’t afraid to explore dark, hedonistic depths, Breon is an exciting prospect about to make his mark on the scene.

Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L consistently reinforces the notion we’re all just witnessing the world turn, and that every once in a while we enter its orbit to engage with life, love, sex, inebriation and solitude. Poignant, but often playful, Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L and his music is a full bodied reflection of a great mind and musical talent at work.

We appreciate the artistry of Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L deeply, and have added Ring The Bell to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream his wider discography, including Buggin.
