Doll Riot set boundaries on fierce new single, Get a Life

Establishing the mood with a vibrant alternative rock soundscape, Doll Riot open Get a Life with the assertive lyrics, “Your insecurity is showing through, constantly checking what I’m up to…”

Get a Life expands into a fierce opus which we learn was inspired by real life teenage dilemma, notably a psycho ex-girlfriend social media stalker! Doll Riot take us on a subversive journey full of poetic nuance, fused with an iconic soundscape produced with Patrick Trolan.

The single follows the successful release of the all girl, teen band’s self-titled EP in May 2022, and Doll Riot plan to release three singles over the next six months!

The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Elena Olszak, guitarist Ella Sauer, bassist London Kraus and drummer, Lillee Gillum. They came together in 2020 as four high schoolers from San Diego, initially covering songs by influential rock and punk artists, expanding into their own sound!

We love the authenticity that the band share with their sound and message. Although they cite Destroy Boys, No Doubt, L7 and Hole as some of their influences, which we can hear come through in their work, it is clear that Doll Riot are creating a universe of their own.

We have added Get a Life to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream their self-titled debut EP, Doll Riot!
