We recently featured rising star Jack Tracy for his intimate and uncensored video, It’s Time, the smooth release of Close, as well as his empowering single, None Tonight, so we couldn’t wait to experience his new single, Tired of Being Lonely!
Enticing us with an atmospheric add lib, Jack Tracy opens Tired of Being Lonely with immersive keys and the thought-provoking lyrics, “Craving acceptance that you’ll never know, and try to ignore all the chances you blow…”
The opus marks the second single from Jack Tracy‘s Gold era, and Jack confesses that the broody EDM track is “a call to make deeper emotional connections rather than moving from one person to the next.” We always appreciate the message accompanied with Jack’s artistry, and the visuals for Tired of Being Lonely are also out of this world!
Filled with sonic intricacies, and a pulsating beat with vocal echoes, Tired of Being Lonely is a profound composition with an optimistic edge as Jack sings, “we could make our own heaven…”
Speaking on the release, Jack confesses, “This is probably my most current sounding track. With reference to how the song’s lyrics are an exploration of the deep well of loneliness and insecurity that can sit at the core of gay men, Jack adds with wisdom, “You search for salvation out on the floor, might find validation but always need more.”
The cinematic music video, directed with Joseph Patrick Conroy, is outstanding and features Jack in an infinity room with mannequins and awesome choreography performances bringing to life the abstract mood of Tired of Being Lonely.
Jack Tracy is also the founder and owner of Necessary Outlet, which has produced several LGBTQ works including feature film, Snowflake, three critically acclaimed seasons of the web series History, and comedies Big Law and Millennial Memoir.
Jack also produces and headlines numerous monthly music residencies throughout New York City including at The Stonewall Inn, Icon Bar and Starr Bar. He is set to perform the entirety of his upcoming album, Gold, and a slew of his other songs, at his first headline show at City Winery in New York on Sunday October 2.
We have added Tired of Being Lonely to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Jack Tracy‘s wider discography!
