By now you will know that we have been exploring the work of Rich Chambers, having recently featured his single, I Wonder, and his passionate and energetic cover of The Beatles’ I Saw Her Standing There, so we were thrilled to hear his latest release, You’re A Nice Guy But… .
Enticing us with percussive details and wild electric guitars, Rich Chambers opens You’re A Nice Guy But… with the lyrics, “Dumped again, my heart ripped apart like a condom rapper on prom night…”, as he reminisces on the opus.
Expanding into a rock n’ roll hybrid energy, Rich is fulfilling his purpose to bring rock n’ roll back to the mainstream. As with most of his releases, You’re A Nice Guy But… comes with a cinematic video, which sees Rich deliver a solid acting performance and bring to life his story in a multidimensional way.
We deeply appreciate the camera work, and how the narrative of the song is brought to life by various performances by other actors giving Rich the same rejection line, “you’re a nice guy, but you’re just a friend…”
Rich Chambers creates honest and authentic songs, which are an extension of his existence, and this is what makes him unique and relatable. He shares his vulnerabilities in hindsight with a playful and comedic commentary. His retrospective approach fusing a classic sound with modern cinema and a clean mix is what makes his project unique.
Rich’s music videos have received a combined total of well over 500,000 views, and his Spotify streaming is clocking in at approximately 25,000 listeners a month and growing. With more single and album releases planned for 2022, Chambers is making his mark as a rock n’ roll artist to watch for.
We have added You’re A Nice Guy But… to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Rich Chambers including Snow Miser vs. Heat Miser.
