Easing us in with polished guitar and percussion, as a drone pans across the city, Rich Chambers opens his new single, I Wonder with the introspective lyrics, “I wonder how I got so in love with you, I sit in the dark thinking about things we used to do, I wonder what I’ll have to do, I wonder what I’ll say…”
In the video, following the epic drone shot, we enter the skyscraper where Rich is performing, whilst the narrative elements of the video tell as story of love lost between the protagonist and his muse.
Speaking on the release, Rich says “I Wonder is a song with not a lot of meaning behind it, yet it is still very special to me because it comes from a wonderful place.”
With a rock and roll sensibility, he asks “why am I still in love with you?” whilst his love interest causes chaos in the apartment.
We experience the artist performing on harmonica and guitar whilst giving a great acting performance that brings to life the story of the song.
Speaking on his message, Rich says, “I am often trying to reflect upon some aspect of the human condition…”, and adds with reference to the song, “It is pretty benign in meaning, but even more special to me is the fact that this song was written one night by five close friends just enjoying being together and playing music.”
