Dialogic releases powerful and immersive debut single, Safe On Your Way

Setting the tone with a luscious synthscape crescendo, bold and vibrant drums and acid guitar, Dialogic opens his debut single, Safe On Your Way with drama, intrigue, and the inspiring, situational lyrics, “A long road, a long way to go, all on your own, going solo, only you can go where you’re going…”

The opus expands into an alternative rock energy with elements of 80s, notably from the drums and synths. We learn that the composition takes inspiration from bands like U2, Simple Minds and Duran Duran but it is clear that Dialogic is creating a universe of his own.

The emerging artist from Berwick-upon-Tweed in the United Kingdom, confesses that Safe On Your Way is “a song about leaving home, literally or metaphorically, to venture into the unknown – expressing the poignant tension between the familiarity of home and the need to step out of the comfort zone, to do what has to be done. A call to bravery and hope. This is a compelling track which takes you on a journey to the heart of what matters in life.”

This lines up with the artwork, but also the fact that Safe On Your Way is the first release from Dialogic, bringing to life his unique neo-80s vibe.

Speaking on the creative process, Dialogic says, “When I was writing Safe On Your Way, I took inspiration from Richard Rohr’s spiritual book Falling Upward, in which he writes about the epic journey of Odysseus – the quest for home, and the need to leave home again and again before finally arriving.”

“2022 is proving to be an exciting year for me musically, with my first Dialogic release, and several opportunities to play live with my band.  In different ways, I am enjoying both the studio time and the time live on stage with my band mates”, he adds with passion.

When discussing the song-writing element, Dialogic tells us, “In writing this song, I had in my mind the image of a figure setting off from home, with just what they could carry on their back, leaving their loved one behind. A sadness in parting, but a necessity to follow a calling. Like a pilgrimage. Who knows what the future will hold. Will we see each other again? I hope so.”

Dialogic is a studio project with Tom Sykes and producer Paul Worthington, as well as a five-piece band live performance project. We appreciate the authenticity and energy that Dialogic shares with his artistry, as well as the poetic nuance and immersive soundscape.

We have added Safe On Your Way to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we anticipate further releases from Dialogic!
