It’s been a big year for Jack Tracy with the release of the intimate and uncensored video for It’s Time, and his smooth single, Close, so we were excited to have the chance to experience his new release, None Tonight.
Opening the synthetic vocals and the mantra-esque delivery of the lyrics, “Bet you want some, but you gets none…” fused with a luscious synthscape, Jack Tracy opens None Tonight with intrigue and a more dimensional energy than we have previously experienced from the rising artist.
None Tonight expands with glitches, and a divergent yet cohesive tapestry, to deliver a funky and atmospheric sound as Jack sings with his recognisable pop meets R&B fusion timbre.
Sonically, the opus lends itself to a Prince meets Michael Jackson vibe, and Jack tells us that it is “an anthem that tells any ghost back from the dead who wants to suddenly spark things up again that they’ll get “none tonight.”
We learn that this marks the launch of Jack Tracy “Gold era”. None Tonight comes with a cinematic music video that has us in awe. We appreciate the performance, and authenticity with which Jack shares his universe. None Tonight is the first from Jack’s third LP, Gold, due in September 2022.
We have added None Tonight to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Jack Tracy‘s wider discography including Close and It’s Time.
