By now you will know that we are massive fans of King Kismet, having covered his refined andeuphoric single, Catching Fire and the dimensional and wise, Wounded Healer. So, we were thrilled to learn that King Kismet had just released the brand new, Call Me!
Immersing us with enigmatic textures and vibrant melodic guitar, King Kismet opens Call Me with intrigue and atmosphere. A signature riser leads us to a pop and the romantic lyrics, “All I need is us together, anywhere we go to, in this moment will you, say it like you mean forever…”
The opus expands into the quality of the soundscape that we have leant to love from King Kismet, with powerful synth work and anthemic production. As always, the vocal design is unique and keeps us hypnotized with dynamic changes throughout the composition.
King Kismet tells us, “Call Me is a long distance love song about what it feels like when you can’t wait to see them again. In a long distance relationship you look forward to the phone calls and the FaceTime calls that help you feel closer.”
We can tell that King Kismet is writing from personal experience and has brought his emotions to life through the song. We appreciate his authenticity. He confesses, “I’m currently in a long distance relationship. During the time of production, we have been traveling to see each other and spend time together. We talk on the phone and FaceTime every night which inspired the song.”
The rising artist from Phoenix, Arizona adds, “The song represents that the grass is green where you water it. When we invest our time and energy into our relationships with other people they are bound to flourish.”
We have added Call Me to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream King Kismet‘s wider discography including Catching Fire and Wounded Healer!
