The void in conscious pop is finally being filled, and the brilliant Phoenix, Arizona based producer and DJ King Kismet (aka Garett Pierre Rogers); is helping to fill that void and move us with their brand of exquisitely created euphoric pop.
Kismet, as a word, was borrowed into English in the early 1800s from Turkish, where it was used as a synonym of fate – that, combined with angel numbers in their Spotify bio, we knew that we could expect something repeat-worthy and that’s exactly what King Kismet’s latest single Catching Fire delivers.
Catching Fire brings together elements of pop, polished future bass and melodic dubstep to create a super-refined and transcendental experience. Coming in at a mere 2 minutes and 23 seconds, the journey of the song feels expansive and addictive, and makes you hit repeat-one for sure. Lyrically the song touches upon the end of the world, apocalyptic themes and almost disconnecting to reconnect. Fire is optimism after all.
