Setting the tone with an immersive electronic soundscape, with cosmic detailing and intricate drums, Rick Smoove reminisces as he opens his new single, Lost with the situational lyrics, “A king sized bed it don’t feel the same, I’m on the couch where the peasants lay, a one night stand’s got me so ashamed, I thought the lust would kill the pain…”
Lost expands with a luscious contemporary R&B meets chill afro-beat energy as Rick Smoove delivers a meaningful song about regret and the human condition. We appreciate Rick’s authenticity and insightful lyrics, which are seamlessly delivered in a distinct, raspy tone.
Speaking the release process with Lost, Rick confesses, “I’ve waited two years and an entire pandemic to share this record with the world. I knew I needed to be patient and deliver amazing visuals to match the undeniable feel of the track.”
The rising artist from San Antonio, Texas elaborates, “During the pandemic while everyone was stuck in the house, I made an executive decision to double down on my creativity. The result of this allowed me to create the best music of my life and I have been anticipating releasing this single for the last two years.”
Rick Smoove adds, “Lost is a cultivation of my growth as an artist and my drive to consistently create everlasting, sustainable, quality music.”
Fans of Meek Mill and Childish Gambino will definitely be able to connect with Rick Smoove, although it is abundantly clear that he is creating a universe of his own.
