Delivering the introspective lyrics, “Everybody’s tryna throw directions, but they don’t know about my intentions, oh, I’m just a introvert, no price you can put on my head…” in line with the enigmatic artist’s persona, We Move expands with a contemporary R&B meets dark pop-trap hybrid energy.
YodaWan is a masked producer and artist who is planting his first seed on the music scene with We Move. The opus features a chilling and panning musical atmosphere with emotive vocals, as the masked creative depicts his thoughts and feelings towards the music industry.
Elaborating on the message, YodaWan confesses, “The story goes to reflect a toxic work environment where a lot of industry players insist on how to play the game, some making threats, whilst others talk down on artists.”
This is a narrative that many artists and people in the music industry will be able to relate to. YodaWan (which sounds like “You’re The One”, which we love!), hints at how this might affect the music making process leaving some writers overplaying other peoples voices in their heads or feeling like they have to put on a false display of character online. He believes it’s time to move on and “ignore that”.
YodaWan is an industry professional who has been producing and writing for artists for over eight years. After years of dealing with ego, pride, and false characterisations of artists he has decided to release his own music under an alias to point out that making music should be natural, enjoyable, and honest. YodaWan does not want to be identified by his industry friends and clients for what he might have to say, to avoid incubating internal politics.
