We recently featured N4November for his refined yet chaotic single, Constant Reminder, so we were thrilled to hear that he had just released the brand new Mistakes and Heartbreak!
Establishing the mood with a brief riser, fused into atmospheric vocals, N4November opens Mistakes And Heartbreak with the vulnerable and emotive lyrics, “Thought I was yours, I’m slowly breaking, my heart’s mistaken, am I not enough?”
Mistakes And Heartbreak expands into an alternative pop meets soft rock energy with immersive synths and intricate piano detailing, as N4November sings passionately, “You, I have always loved you, always loved you from the start, now I’m torn apart…”, fused with epic 80s style textured drums riffs and strings that have us hypnotized.
Speaking on the history of Mistakes And Heartbreak, N4November confesses, “This was the very first song I wrote when I was 16 years old. I didn’t even know I wanted to be a recording artist six years ago, all I knew was that I loved music and I wanted to write out what I had stored in my fucked up mind, but here I am 22 and finally getting to release this song to the public.”
N4November adds, “Mistakes and Heartbreak is all about regret. As the name suggest, a lot of mistakes that led to eventual heartbreak. A person growing up and maturing from these mistakes and wishing he knew back then what he has learnt now, so he could’ve been a better person.”
Mistakes and Heartbreak, just like all of N4November‘s previous tracks, was recorded and produced in Rich Mammoliti (lead guitarist of the band Breakaway)’s home studio.
N4November cites Taylor Swift, The 1975, 5 Seconds Of Summer, Paramore and Nothing But Theives as some of his influences, although it is clear that he is creating a universe of his own!
We have added Mistakes and Heartbreak to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue exploring N4November‘s first two singles, Dear Friend, and Constant Reminder!
