Wild Horse release emotive and adventurous new single, Joy Ride

Setting tone with immersive, glistening keys, Wild Horse open their latest single, Joy Ride with atmospheric vocals singing, “Said it was the first time, being taken for a joy ride, she said I made her feel right, and that I fill her life with sunshine…”

The song expands into luscious indie-pop frequency with unique guitar riffs, passionate delivery and elements of the 80s, fused with a modern soundscape and production value.

We appreciate the poetic nuance of the lyricism and the silent moments which add drama to the opus. The instrumental section of the song is truly out of this world, before we experience the final reprise.

The rising trio form Brighton self describe as the feeling of “putting on a new suit and lighting a cigarette to go on a night out”, they grew up listening to hip-hop beats and classic 60s and 70s Brit Rock vinyls.

Formed by brothers Jack and Henry Baldwin and best friend from primary school Ed Barnes in Sussex, Southern England, they have been relentlessly gigging since their teens. Still only just into their 20s, Wild Horse have recorded five studio albums that have earned enthusiastic support in BBC Introducing, BBC local shows, Radio X and many other local FM and internet stations around the world.

They have been BBC Introducing Track Of The Day twice and their work has received fantastic reviews from many publications including LA Buzz Music, BN1 Magazine, Sussex Scene, Eclectic Music Lover, Neil March, Brecon Reviews and more.

Fans of John Mayer, Harry Styles, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Hunna, The Magic Gang, Sam Fender, The Weekend, The Gorillaz, Kanye West, Oasis, Blur, Arctic Monkeys, The 1975, Rex Orange County and Declan McKenna will definitely be able to connect with Wild Horse, although it is clear that the trio are creating a dimension of their own.

We have added Joy Ride to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we stream Wild Horse‘s wider discography including Freaky Together.
