Deep Dive Species deliver immersive and dimensional single, One Hand Clap with album, Aquaphilia

Setting the tone with an enigmatic riser and vinyl texture with a cerebral and technological frequency, we are already obsessed with Deep Dive Species‘ new single, One Hand Clap.

A melodic bass line emerges to dimensionalise the composition with percussive detailing amidst a sea of static, whilst drums and guitar strums immerse us further.

Vocal detailing pans from side to side engaging us on a more profound level, whilst the guitar takes on the role of protagonist in this conceptual and subversive opus.

Half way through, an inviting flute detail expands One Hand Clap as the guitar takes on a grunge energy and meditative pattern with glistening details before the song breaks down for an alien-esque middle eight with additional reverbed vocal textures in the wake of the textured outro.

One Hand Clap is taken from Deep Dive Species‘ debut album, Aquaphilia which is out now. Deep Dive Species were formed during and in part to the 2020 lockdown in New York.

One Hand Clap also comes with a David Lynch inspired visual by Jenya Bilousov/Gem Studio, with a backwards flying plane, unforgettable characters and cinematic, cerebral visuals that fit the tone of the song perfectly.

We have added One Hand Clap to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whist we stream the whole of Deep Dive Species‘ debut album, Aquaphilia!
