Ruiz! releases immersive and intricate new single, Falling

Establishing a mood with an intricate percussive sound and bold vocals singing, “Just about fate”, Ruiz! opens his new single, Falling with a cyber vocal saying “I want to help you”, and post-punk meets 80s futuristic hybrid energy.

Falling expands with enigmatic vocals touching upon the themes of love and the modern maladies between men, women, and life in these strange times.

Ruiz! is the enigmatic moniker from Sheffield, U.K.-based DIY multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, and vocalist Hugh Ruiz Robert. Recorded with just a laptop, extra live instruments during quarantines, Ruiz‘s songs transcends 60’s rock and roll, electronica, punk, pop, psychedelia and dark rock.

Falling is Ruiz!‘s sixth release on Only Fruit Recordings, and it is no surprise that he has already garnered the support of BBC Introducing. We love the celestial detailing in the song, and Ruiz!‘s charming and magnetic delivery. The guitar solo is also out of this world!

Speaking in more depth on the record, Ruiz! says, “Falling was originally called Fate, as I thought in these difficult times we seem to have had the wind knocked out of our sails in this post-COVID world we are in.

He continues, “I think it’s important to get out there and go for our dreams again. For me, it’s essential that we seize the day, live in the now, be happy with what we have got, and not be upset about what we haven’t. Carpe Diem!”

We love the inspiring energy that Ruiz! creates with his message and soundscape and have added Falling to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we stream his wider discography including 5 Seconds and Morning!
