HKG releases textured and dimensional single, Armour

Setting the tone with enigmatic and textured synths with environmental soundscaping and a melodic, pulsating riser, HKG opens his debut single, Armour with atmosphere and mystery.

Expanding with processed vocals, Armour delivers lyricism about the emotional pain of a relationship that is falling apart. The single HKG‘s first solo release (although if you dig hard enough you might find a release from 2020), and he has two more releases planned for the next few months before he releases his EP late Summer/early Fall.

We love the multi-dimensional energy that HKG serves with his vision and the way that the doubled drums and layered synths fuse with his vocals to amplify the emotion of the composition. The instrumental breakdown is out of this world!

The record is mixed and co-produced by Jake Magness (who has credits with The Chainsmokers, Halsey & Machine Gun Kelly). HKG started making music with his brothers fourteen years ago in a band called The Perks. The band played at venues all around Las Vegas (Brooklyn Bowl, House Of Blues, various Hard Rock venues, Bunkhouse Saloon) and released three EPs before going on a hiatus.

HKG is Hunter Keegan Gorman’s solo project that he’s been producing while discovering himself and his own sound away from his band of brothers. Hunter has been active in the Vegas music scene for the past five years playing out his unreleased music and evolving the songs into what they are today. We cannot wait to hear HKG‘s debut EP on July 8, which is called Lost It. In the meantime, we have added Amour to our New Music Spotlight playlist!
