Teasley teams up with Lostboycrow on moving and vibrant new single, That Car

Setting the tone with an immersive synthscape, Teasley opens his latest single, That Car, with the introspective lyrics “Why you acting busy, it’s alright, say what you wanna say, all these hearts but don’t see one I like, say what you wanna say…”

That Car expands into an alternative R&B soundscape with intricate lyricism that compares a relationship with the concept of driving. It features seductive percussion and an emotive performance from Teasley.

The song features Teasley‘s signature chill sound that he describes as a “soundtrack to the good life”, and the end result is luxurious bop. The rising artist, originally from Oakland, also teamed up with Lostboycrow on the track, who adds his own brand of smooth magic.

This is Teasley‘s fourth monthly release of the year, and he also produced the song along with Jara De Werd! The LA-based artist cites Frank Ocean, Outkast, Michael Jackson and Kanye West as inspirations, although it is clear that he is creating a universe of his own.

It is no surprise that Teasley has performed with G-Eazy, T-Pain, Lupe Fiasco and Matoma. He performed at Freedom Fest in Longbeach, Splash House in Palm Springs, charted #8 on Italy’s MTV charts, is supported by National Italian Radio and even charted #16 on UK Music Week Club charts! How iconic.

We have added That Car to our New Music Spotlight playlist and have been immersing ourselves in Teasley‘s wider discography including Hit It and Runaway.
