LtB channels his trauma into intricate new single, Eye

Setting the tone with a vinyl texture and an intricate and enigmatic guitar melody, LtB opens his latest single Eye with intrigue and the introspective lyrics, “Love’s connection, born anew relation, scared of being transformed, lost by what I’m seeing …”

As the song expands, we experience an alternative rock meets trap soundscape as LtB delivers an emotive message of evolution. Speaking on the meaning of Eye, the rising artist from Montreal says, “The song explains the need for change. To stop all you are doing now and completely start again.”

LtB searches for answers, comfort, connection and takes us through various sentiments of the human condition. Elaborating on the inspiration of the song, LtB says, “I had a traumatic experience that I needed to talk about. A couple of months ago, me and my friends took too many magic mushrooms and this resulted in the most horrifying experience of my life. This is my story.”

Although psychedelics can be beneficial for most, sometimes consuming them can bring trauma to the surface and LtB‘s eloquent way of dealing with his feelings through music, and writing Eye, is part of a healing process.

We love LtB‘s flow and delivery on Eye, and the song is produced with Splashgvng and mixed and mastered by Nimbustwokay. LtB cites Lil Peep, Kid Cudi, Radiohead, Mac Miller and Yung Lean as some of his inspirations, but it is clear that he is forging his own path.

We have added Eye to our New Music Spotlight playlist and continue to stream LtB‘s wider discography including Let My Mind Drift Away and 8811.
