Sonomancer teams up with Martha Goddard on cerebral and refined single, Digital Graves

Setting the vibe with enigmatic and pulsing details fused with celestial nuances, we are already hypnotized by Sonomancer‘s new release, Digital Graves.

As the song expands, we experience intricate vocal layers delivered by Martha Goddard with immersive and synthetic production from the rising Australian artist. Speaking on the meaning of the track, Sonomancer says, “the themes and lyrics comment on loss and grief in our modern hyper-connected world.”

Lyrical highlights include the introspective opening “I thought I had all the time in the world”, the conceptual “digital graves in a garden”, the poetic “memories in a satellite” and the astral “I open my eyes and I’m floating in space.”

Speaking on their creative process, Sonomancer speaks profoundly, saying, “Between discovering that making music is why I was put on this Earth and literally waking up the other day to the realisation that all of the pieces were in place to actually, finally, make a go of it, in the face of having to make a living my musical journey was previously always on the back-burner, in the background, quiet.”

“But the creation of music always draws me back to it, and so that musical journey starts now,” he concludes.

We have added Digital Graves to our New Music Spotlight playlist and have been immersing ourselves in the wider discography of Sonomancer, including Core 3 and Industria.
