Speaking on the track, Damon says, “Holy is lyrical exploration of what it meant to be when I felt seen and empowered by a lover for the very first time.”
The rising artist continues, “Holy is a musical/lyrical exploration of a past relationship. I just happened to be reminiscing on how different it was from other relationships I’d been in. It was really something to feel completely seen, accepted, and empowered by a lover for the very first time. There’s a beauty in feeling completely vulnerable yet also fully empowered…almost worshiped as something holy. So I started writing and here we are.”
A cosmic lyrical highlight is “We find ourselves in a place where time and space, transcends the limitations of this feeble minded-human race, without a trace of hallowed bigotry and hate, we won’t tolerate the intolerable so those heathens we extricate, from our sacred domain”, which demonstrates the escapism we feel when we are entwined with someone else in authentic love energy.
