Jane N’ The Jungle release conscious and moving visual for Ocean Creatures

Setting the tone with enigmatic electric guitar, Jane N’ The Jungle open their latest record, Ocean Creatures, with the cerebral and introspective lyrics, “When the lightnin’ crashes on Mars, and the world spins in smoke and cigars, bodies driftin’ in lead avatars, poisoned by our minds…”

The release comes with a multi-dimensional video featuring and epic performance from front person of the band, Jordan White, covering a combination of two worlds – the depths of the oceans and the heights of space.

Speaking on the release, Jordan speaks frankly and vulnerably, explaining that it is “inspired by an out of body experience I had while being crushed by a car at 100mph”.

She continues, ‘I somehow survived, but during the traumatic experience of getting hit, I felt like I was floating in space and trapped in the aura of an alien-like state.”

“Ultimately, Ocean Creatures touches on that supernatural feeling you experience when you face moments of the unknown.”

The profound and moving artist gives an almost David Bowie-esque energy with her delivery and the stunning visual is directed by Jim Louvau and Tony Aguilera.

We love the song which fuses grunge with alternative rock sensibilities. There is an exquisite, albeit short, guitar solo which extends through the second half of the second giving us exquisite ear candy. Jordan’s vocals soar as she sings about her experience and the astral world.

We are converted fans of Jane N’ The Jungle, and Ocean Creatures has also been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist on Spotify, but you can also explore the entire EP below!
