The Ramble take us on an adventure with stadium-filling new single, Partners in Crime

Delivering a classic rock energy, The Ramble‘s new song Partners in Crime opens with the visually immersive lyrics, “Making love, on the back seat, she’s bringing me out of control, for her door, got the right key, the one I’ve waited for, are you ready for more?”

Although sonically in the realms of classic rock, there are elements of modernity and futurism to the mix and frequency of the song. We love the bright synths and the emotive delivery from the group.

The Ramble, who are from New Jersey, say that they are “out to sincerely revive the genre’s most head-banging and hip-thrusting moments”, and we really felt that coming through in Partners in Crime.

The group’s energy and epic choruses make us really want to see them perform in a stadium and their sonic landscape and lyricism are definitely inter-generational.

A lyrical highlight is the infectious hook “You got your weapons and I’ve got mine, don’t be afraid we’re gonna have a good time, your kind of love is the killing kind…”

Speaking on the meaning of the track, The Ramble said, “Partners in Crime was inspired by the love-hate relationship of the modern couple that live in the big city. Sound and production was inspired by the likes of Bon Jovi, Slippery When Wet era.”

When citing their influences, the band references, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Journey, Alice Cooper, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Bob Seger, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Queen, Thin Lizzy and Southside Johnny.

We have been immersing ourselves in the band’s wider discography including Heartbreaker and Run Rudolf Run, and Partners in Crime has been added to our New Music Spotlight playlist!
