Lost Like Lions choose expansion and reinvention on Back to Life

“I saw the sun rise and it brought me back to life”, is the impactful opening lyric from the latest release from pop-rock trio Lost Like Lions from Buffalo, New York.

The band, consisting of Derrik Schiersing on vocals and guitar, Jamie Bigaj guitar and backing vocals, and Jim Kaczmarski on drums, says they don’t take themselves too seriously, but Back to Life is a great song and we are super excited for the release of the band’s upcoming EP.

Lyrical highlights include “tell me everything’s gonna be alright one time”, and the introspective “give me strength to feed your ego and the will to finally let go”.

We love the intricate guitar work and catchy hooks, plus the conscious energy and poetic narrative that Lost Like Lions delivers throughout the short and succinct track.

Speaking on the release, the band says, “Back To Life is a track about reinventing yourself, and knowing that at the end of every problem or obstacle, there are always better days ahead.”

Inspired by Jimmy Eat World, Death Cab For Cutie and Sugarcult, the band’s EP “Fear of Letting Go” is due to release in the Spring of 2022.
