Warm and panning vibrational frequency as vocal textures emerge feel like the perfect debut for a song called Heart Matters by A Path Untold. It gives ancient civilizations energy as the production built with syncopated beats, more textures and bright percussive effects.
The entire journey feels so immersive and we adore the details, poetic nuance with the production and the transportive nature of the panning frequencies.
The almost 9-minute long track is a cohesive and astral adventure that builds with emotion and sex appeal causing a stir in the base of our spines.
“Heart Matters” is the lead single to the upcoming full length album “Sourcery” by A Path Untold, aka producer/composer Daniel Merrill, who has been creating and releasing under the moniker since 2015.
Both the single and the album are to be released on The Chambers Project as the debut musical offering on the platform which otherwise consists of internationally celebrated psychedelic visual artists Ralph Steadman, Mars-1 and Oliver Vernon, among others.
It’s the astral glitching in the middle 8 of the track that really takes us to a neo-futurist dimension, demonstrating the refined aesthetic we have learnt to expect from the artist.
The incoming record, Sourcery, is the most ambitious, intricate and intentional record Daniel has created so far. Speaking on the record, Daniel says, “In relation to past works, it is ever more evocative and far-reaching in it’s scope, resulting in a progression of songs designed to transform the dancefloor into sacred space and back again, while providing an evolving, enthralling ride that facilitates as much of an inner journey as listeners want to take.“
As far as inspiration for the wider album goes, it draws on genre elements from future garage, deep/slow house, ambient downtempo, medicine music and a variety of multicultural flavours. These elements, as a sonic lexicon, serve to build and explore a deeply moody, symphonic, emotional world, filled with a sense of mysterious enchantment, spirits and the eternal relationship of opposites.
We are really excited by A Path Untold’s brand of mystical melodic story-telling through the use of “explorative texture and harmonic bass presence, calling into existence the sound of alternate realms of beauty, intrigue and wonder.”
A Path Untold’s goal is always the same, “to create, explore and share transcendent, numinous experiences with human beings”.
We are obsessed with A Path Untold’s sonic landscape and cannot wait for the album to be released. You can learn more at www.apathuntold.com and www.thechambersproject.com
