How to Make Your Look Pop

There are days when we’re happy to blend into the background. And then there are days when we want to make a splash. On those days, we’re not content to just make up the numbers — we want to turn heads. It doesn’t matter if people are also looking at everyone else; they’re for certain not going to overlook or ignore you! But of course, that won’t just happen. You need to make it happen. In this post, we’re going to run through some tried and tested tips for seriously elevating your appearance. Take our tips, and you’ll have a banging style.

Push the Boundaries

You’re not going to turn heads if you’re playing things too safe. There are a million people out there wearing the standard clothing of society. If you want to turn heads, then you’ll need to push the boundaries a little. But this shouldn’t be a serious undertaking — it should simply be fun! If you haven’t stepped out of your comfort zone before, then start small. Wearing your existing clothes in a different way or mixing and matching clothing that don’t normally go together will be a good place to start.

Step Up Clothing

At some point, however, you’ll want to add a few more jazzy pieces to your wardrobe. These will be the standout pieces that always draw glances and receive comments. You won’t find the items that’ll get this response in the usual clothing stores; you’ll need to go a little more niche. One good place to look is at independent stores that offer the latest trends. Utility streetwear is very hot right now, so why not look at adding a few items to your wardrobe? You’ll start with one or two standout pieces, but then, over time, you’ll add more until eventually your whole wardrobe is all killer, no filler.

Accessories

It’s not just your clothing that’ll help you to make a splash. Your accessories can take you quite far, too. Accessories are oddly underused by many people. If you’ve never used them before, then look at changing things. You can add some items of jewellery, or, in the winter, get a lively scarf and hat combo. If you’re looking for a more permanent accessory, then you could consider getting a tattoo — just be sure that it’s something you really want before you make the commitment. It’s permanent!

Own It

Finally, be sure to walk with confidence! It doesn’t matter how good your outfit looks on paper. If you’re not owning the look, then the power will be lost. There are a couple of approaches that’ll ensure that this is the case. The first is faking it until you make it. Even if you’re not as confident as you will one day be, no one else will know that. The other, long-term option is to work on greatly improving your confidence in an authentic way.

Conclusion

And there we have it! You only get one life, you may as well ensure you look as fresh as possible!
