A lot of you know, I am a huge fan of the product and sustainability policies of Bulldog Skincare – they are truly the only independently founded (they are now part of Edgewell Personal Care) brand available on a mainstream level which puts the planet at the forefront using cane sugar instead of plastic and now in a recent bold move, the launch of what is possibly the most progressive razor in the world.
I was introduced to the new device at a vegan (naturally and again, proof in point that the brand takes the environment really seriously) dinner held at The Dorchester’s China Tang last week and have since demoed the razor (on my chest) to give it a test run and I have to admit, it is the closest shave I have ever had – I noticed this when shaving the area near my collar bone which is definitely the most problematic zone for me with razors historically. This makes sense considering that Bulldog looked at every aspect of how a razor is made, to create something that would bring genuine disruption. I am sure the technology was able to be developed further under the parent company as Bulldog now sits alongside Wilkinson Sword within the Edgewell portfolio. What sets the Original Bamboo Razor apart from the rest is the 5-tempered steel blades and flexible razor and overall focus on lowering its environmental impact. From the natural bamboo handle, to the packaging that’s made from fully recycled stock, using only environmentally friendly inks.
A win-win.
One razor, one set of blades, with a focus on the environment.
Now, I know the brand is still gendered but I feel an evolution on that side of things too and at it’s launch stage it 100% made sense to market the male demographic but it’s packaging and ethos are so wholesome and the product is so non-binary, so femmes and everyone who doesn’t identify as a male, this brand can be for you too.
