A couple of months ago, we featured Sera Eke as our Sonic Spotlight for her track Coup Coup Coup! Today, we’re sharing Sera’s follow up in the form of a preview from her upcoming EP. The sensual London-based, mysterious (you should check out her Instagram page to fully immerse yourself) artist shares White Room – drawing on personal experiences and moody AF production akin to a sonic episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer meets Girl Interrupted, she wails “I shout from the shadows but no-one can hear my voice”.
The release (out in full on April 13) lands after a special guest appearance for Nadine Shah at London’s Roundhouse, and follows her Coup Coup Coup EP, which arrived towards the back end of 2017. The EP was again mixed by Brian Eno’s longstanding guitarist Leo Abrahams, producer of recent album releases by Regina Spektor, Editors, and Ghostpoet respectively.
