In the wake of some of the prolific fodder that exists in popular culture, there are always insanely talented artists that get lost, completely. Respect and admiration from the creative world can only amount to so much. Bishi Bhattacharya is one such artist. Underrated as a term doesn’t even cut it. With over a decade of creating fusion-pop that has the potential and genuine artistry to warrant phenomenal success, Bishi has just unveiled her latest (and award-winning) project – a collaboration film with the brilliant Manish Arora. Here is the five minute clip for ‘Holi Holy’ which reaped in three awards at this year’s ASVOFF 2013, including ASVOFF Gran Prix, Best Sound for ‘Dia Ti Maria,’ and the NOWNESS Best Newcomer Award.
Filmed it in the midst of flooding within the ancient holy city of Varanasi (which was 40ft under water), the film showcases Bishi wearing an array of Manish Arora looks. The film is directed by Bharat Sikka.
