Branded content comes in many forms these days, but budgets don’t always allow for legitimate masterpieces to be created. When Jaguar announced that they had signed Lana Del Rey and were planning to create a film for the F-TYPE Desire campaign that was produced by Ridley Scott Associates, it hinted at the gravitas of the investment behind this vehicle. Seeing it come to life today in the form of a thirteen minute short film starring Golden Globe winner Damian Lewis, Shannyn Sossamon, Jordi MollĂ with a soundtrack by Lana is absolute perfection.
This is a work of art and a beautifully directed piece of content – I had the pleasure of viewing it on a massive HD projector with surround sound, so if you have the chance to replicate that (and take the time to enjoy it as you would a feature film), do it.
