I cannot believe that I am currently sat in an internet cafe in the heart of London JUST so that I can view this in HD on a screen and blog it. Actually, I can. Obsession isn’t event a word that comes close. Here is the video for Lana Del Rey’s Born To Die directed by Yoann Lemoine featuring Bradley Soileau. It is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful and her first label endorsed video release (which obviously came with a solid budget). The intense cinematography, majestic shots of Château de Fontainebleau, art direction, production, expression and that final moment are all that of a global icon in the making. I am in awe.
This is so beautiful. Exactly what I would have hoped for. xx
Loved it, too. Little correction: I was filmed at the Château de Fontainebleau, not in Versailles. Bradley Soileau wrote that on his Facebook Page
Thank you so much! I just changed it. Hope you are well.
[…] of Blue Jeans just hit and it is absolutely stunning. It features the hand of Bradley Soileau (Born To Die), who we can assume is returning for the video. It was most likely to have been shot by Born To Die […]
it is a breathtaking song! I am a big fan of Lana
name the boy?
it’s not fontainebleau or versailles, but a composite “château” setting based on the royal chapel at versailles. it’s closest to versailles, and the ceiling in the video is an exact recreation that from the royal chapel built by louis XIV in 1710.
nope, it’s definitely fontainebleau, she had pretty open access and it’s the first time that the château has been used for a music video. the chapel isn’t the only setting for the vid, she’s also walking through the galerie françois Ier which is a pretty famous part of fontainebleau designed in the 1500s.
